Adani Logistics Ltd, a subsidiary of the prominent Adani Group, has announced the acquisition of a 50% stake in Veracity Supply Chain Private Ltd (VSCPL), a newly established entity. VSCPL, which was officially incorporated on October 31, 2023, has an authorized and paid-up share capital of Rs 10,00,000. The acquisition, revealed in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), involves Adani Logistics Ltd subscribing to 50,000 equity shares, which represents a 50% ownership stake in VSCPL, at Rs. 5 lakh i.e. Rs 10 per share.
VSCPL, the newly formed company, has a specific focus on providing last-mile connectivity solutions to customers. This involves facilitating the transportation of goods from in-land container depots to their final destinations. What makes VSCPL's approach distinctive is its reliance on a digital transport management system. This advanced digital infrastructure is designed to enhance efficiency and transparency in the movement of goods, ultimately benefiting both customers and the logistics industry as a whole.
