Buoyed by the resounding success of its recently concluded residential plots scheme, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to launch a similar scheme in the early months of 2024, specifically in January-February. This move comes as a response to the strong demand demonstrated by the public in their eagerness to secure residential plots. Under the upcoming scheme, the authority intends to offer more than 2,000 residential plots of various sizes, which will be strategically located in proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport. It's important to note that the precise sectors where these plots will be available have yet to be finalized.
Arun Vir Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, highlighted the appeal of residential plots among potential homeowners. This was evident from the remarkable response that the authority's recent residential plot scheme received. "This shows people would want to build their houses and live near the upcoming Jewar Airport. So, witnessing the demand, the authority will soon launch a residential scheme early next year in January-February 2024. Preparations for this have also started," Singh stated, underscoring the authority's commitment to meeting the housing needs of the community.
To provide some context on the earlier scheme, on October 18, YEIDA conducted a draw for 1,184 residential plots in three distinct sectors. The response was overwhelming, with a staggering 1.4 lakh applicants vying for these plots situated in YEIDA sectors 16, 17, and 20 along the Yamuna Expressway. This extraordinary level of interest underscores the robust demand for affordable housing options in this region.
Furthermore, an official from the authority confirmed that while preparations for the new scheme are in progress, the acquisition of land for these residential plots is yet to take place. The land department of the authority has been instructed to initiate the land acquisition process. Once the authority gains possession of the land, it will pave the way for the launch of the new housing scheme. As per the latest information, the land acquisition process is on track to conclude by the end of December, making the land available for the new residential plots by January 2024. Consequently, the public can anticipate the launch of these new residential plots early in the year.
The decision to offer more residential plots is aligned with the broader objective of promoting housing and infrastructure development in the region, especially in close proximity to the forthcoming Noida International Airport. This development initiative not only fulfils the housing aspirations of the local population but also supports the economic growth and development of the region.
