Aldar Education expands its horizons with a AED 350 million investment in Dubai, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi

Aldar Properties ("Aldar") has increased its investment in the education sector, adding more than AED 350 million to its initial AED 1 billion commitment made in 2022. This additional capital enables Aldar Education to expand its operations to Dubai and Bahrain, and also includes the acquisition of a new educational institution in Abu Dhabi.

As part of its expansion plan, Aldar Education will establish Cranleigh Bahrain, the first premium school in Bahrain offering a British International Curriculum. This new school is set to open in 2024 and will provide co-educational education from Pre-Prep to Year 13, adhering to the British International Curriculum.

This move marks a significant milestone for Aldar Education, as it extends its educational excellence beyond the UAE and introduces its high-quality education standards to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The increased investment also involves acquiring two reputable educational institutions in the UAE, namely Kent College Dubai and Virginia International Private School in Abu Dhabi. The acquisition of Kent College Dubai, which is subject to standard regulatory approvals, marks Aldar Education's entry into Dubai. On the other hand, acquiring Virginia International Private School allows Aldar Education to expand its presence, reach, and offerings within Abu Dhabi's education sector.

Aldar Education's plans include enhancing the quality of education in Kent College Dubai and Virginia International Private School by upgrading facilities and infrastructure. Additionally, comprehensive professional development opportunities will be provided for educators and staff. These schools will also benefit from Aldar Education's proven track record in achieving academic excellence, their deep sector knowledge, and access to a wide network of schools.
