In a bid to enhance convenience for residents, the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has introduced a new tax filing system. Individuals living within the PMC area can now file their property and municipal taxes every day of the week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In an effort to relieve taxpayers and streamline the process, Mayor Sita Sahu, accompanied by the deputy mayor and empowered standing committee members, inaugurated this new initiative.

Previously, long queues were a common sight at the tax counters. To address this issue, the PMC has decided to increase the number of counters, ensuring a smoother experience for property holders. As part of this initiative, a tax counter will now be open on Sundays as well. To facilitate the process, all executive officials have been instructed to arrange for additional computer operators, including computer systems, at the tax counters in their respective circle offices.

Patna residents now have the option to pay their property taxes directly through the PMC's official website. Moreover, to cater to the changing landscape of digital payments, property taxes can also be paid through various online payment platforms like PhonePe, Paytm, and GooglePay.
