After searching for a new home for an extended period, the famous duo of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have ultimately completed their purchase of a Los Angeles residence for approximately $61 million.
Ever since tying the knot in August 2022, Affleck and Lopez have been on the lookout for a suitable residence for their combined households. Jenny and her husband displayed great patience and significant purchasing ability, which ultimately led them to discover something extraordinary just in time for the beginning of summer.
Situated within the confines of Wallingford Estates, a secured residential community located in the Beverly Hills post-office area, the estate occupies a land mass of approximately 5 acres while offering a capacious living area of 38,000 square feet. According to the listing, the property is equipped with 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, an expansive garage capable of accommodating 12 cars, and a refreshing swimming pool. Additionally, the estate boasts a comprehensive sports complex that features top-notch basketball and pickleball amenities, a workout area, and even a boxing arena.
The house features luxurious amenities such as a theatre, a wine cellar, an exclusive area for whisky, and wellness facilities that include a beauty salon, a steam bath, and a therapeutic massage space. Furthermore, there is a distinct sports complex spread over 5,000 square feet, featuring an indoor pickleball arena, a boxing area, and a recreational sports area. Additionally, there is a guard house consisting of two bedrooms.
The real estate was originally offered at a price tag of $135 million in 2018, but its value was eventually reduced to $74.995 million by March. According to official documents, the vendor is a business entity associated with the real estate developer Gala Asher. Compass's Ginger Glass was the listing agent for the property located in Beverly Hills, while the buyers were represented by Brett Lawyer at Carolwood Estates.
Ben and Jen made a cash payment of $60,850,000. It only took a week to complete the entire agreement, from beginning to end. According to records, Affleck managed to dispose of his Pacific Palisades estate for a staggering $28.5 million in the past year. Lopez is putting up her estate in Bel-Air for sale at a price of $39.995.
The couple had previously tried to purchase a home twice before in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of Southern California, where Affleck had previously lived with his former partner Jennifer Garner and their children but were unsuccessful both times. Following their divorce, Affleck acquired a vast East Coast-inspired residence but eventually sold it. The Alias star erected a brand-new house in Brentwood, where Garner and the children have now relocated.
The celebrity couple can rest assured of their privacy in this tranquil locale since the entrances are only accessible via private and gated streets. The neighbourhood offers an ideal location for two busy celebrities, being only a brief eight-minute drive from the Beverly Hills Hotel and a convenient 20-minute drive from Van Nuys Airport for private travel.
