Telangana Government launches affordable housing project for urban poor in Kamalanagar

The Telangana Government recently inaugurated a housing project in Kamalanagar, providing 210 double-bedroom homes for the urban poor. Each 2BHK flat was constructed at a cost of Rs. 8.5 lakh, and 89 houses have already been distributed. The remaining 121 houses will be allotted to eligible families based on criteria such as residency and documentation. The government has implemented an innovative approach to sustain the housing complex by incorporating shops whose rent will be used for maintenance.
