Vanguard Fund expand holdings in Indiabulls Real Estate Limited

According to a BSE document outlining shareholding patterns, Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund has acquired an extra 45,990 shares or 0.1% hold in Indiabulls Real Estate Limited. With this transaction, the fund's holdings grew from 64,50,458 equity shares or 1.19% in the December quarter to 64,96,448 equity shares or 1.20% at the end of the March quarter. Another Vanguard fund, the Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund has maintained its ownership of 61,93,166 equity shares or 1.14% in the real estate corporation.

Indiabulls Real Estate shares closed at Rs. 56.89 on the BSE on Friday and were down by Rs. 2.42 or 4.08% from the previous day's closing price. After hitting a 52-week low of Rs 45.94 on March 29, 2023, the stock is now rising. This stock's 52 week high is Rs 101.35. The two funds have a combined stake in the company of 2.34%, or 12,689,614 equity shares. Pacific Horizon Investment Trust Plc and Baillie Gifford Pacific Fund are two other funds with investments in Indiabulls Real Estate. Baillie Gifford holds 29,788,258 equity shares or 5.50% compared to Pacific Horizon's ownership of 92,96,800 shares or 1.72%. Jupiter India Fund which had a holding in the company equal to 7,674,372 shares or 1.42% sold those shares.

When an individual investor holds 1% of the firm or more, their ownership is reflected in the 'Shareholding Pattern' of BSE listed companies. The stock has underperformed, returning a negative 42.30% over the past year compared to a 3.01% return for the BSE Sensex.
