Ghaziabad residents protest over security concerns at Saviour Park Society

Residents of Saviour Park Society in Ghaziabad held a demonstration against the builder, alleging the sale of convenience shops to outsiders and the creation of multiple entry and exit gates, raising security concerns. Despite complaints lodged with the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), no action has been taken to address the issue.

According to interviews captured by ET Realty, residents claim the builder has transformed convenience shops into commercial establishments and sold them, while also adding restricted entry and exit gates. The residents' indefinite protest began on last week on Friday but was halted on Sunday due to the imposition of Section 144 following Atiq Ahmed's murder in Prayagraj.

In addition to the shop issue, residents also reported a stray dog problem within the society. One resident pointed out that group housing does not permit commercial shops and that building bylaws mandate that convenience shops be constructed for the use of the residents.

Furthermore, residents claim that the builder has not only ignored their concerns but has also threatened to file false cases against them. Kanchan Arora, another resident, stated that the protest was their last resort after exhausting all other options to resolve the matter. The builder has not responded to any calls or requests for comment.

In light of the current situation, it is important for the builder to address the grievances of the residents, and for the GDA to ensure proper adherence to the building bylaws. A collaborative effort between residents, the builder, and the GDA could help in resolving the issue and establishing a safe and secure living space for the Saviour Park Society residents.

In conclusion, the residents of Saviour Park Society in Ghaziabad are demanding action to address the security concerns caused by the sale of convenience shops and the addition of multiple entry and exit gates. It is crucial for authorities and builders to take these concerns seriously and work together to ensure a safe and secure living environment for all residents. Open communication between all parties involved is essential in fostering a resolution that benefits everyone within the community.
