Data from local development authorities reveal several pending registries, with over 1.15 lakh stalled flats awaiting resolution. While some progress has been made, the pace is far from satisfactory. Officials cite efforts to expedite registries, yet challenges persist.
The frustration among homebuyers is not only from delayed registries but also from unmet promises of relief. The Amitabh Kant committee recommendations, though adopted by the Uttar Pradesh government, haven't provided comprehensive solutions. Issues like linking registries with builder dues continue to plague buyers, exacerbating their predicament.
