ITC Hotels unveils ambitious expansion plan for 70 new properties in 5 years

ITC Hotels is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan, aiming to grow its current portfolio of 130 properties to 200 within the next five years. CEO Anil Chadha expressed confidence in the company's ability to capitalize on the growing demand for both business and leisure travel in India. He highlighted the company's trajectory towards rapid growth, projecting an increase in inventory to over 18,000 keys from the current 12,000.
ITC Hotels is also making its international debut with the opening of ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo, boasting the most spacious rooms in the city. Over the past two years, the company has already launched 25 hotels across India, consolidating its presence in luxury markets while aggressively expanding into tier two and tier three cities.
Chadha emphasized the rise of experiential travel, noting that their various brands, including Storii, Mementos, and Welcomhotel, offer unique local experiences tailored to guests' preferences. With a robust pipeline of 40 properties across different brands, ITC is poised for further growth and innovation.
To enhance guest experiences, ITC will soon introduce Club ITC Master Key, an integrated offering designed to provide immersive experiences from arrival to departure. This initiative aims to create lasting memories for guests through activities such as culinary adventures, nature hikes, and other curated experiences.
The upcoming ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo will feature luxurious accommodations, extensive banqueting facilities, and a diverse array of dining options, including renowned restaurants like Peshawri, Yi Jing, and Avartana. Additionally, the hotel will house KayaKalp - The Royal Spa, adding a touch of indulgence for guests seeking relaxation.
Several openings are slated for the current financial year, including Welcom Hotels in Belagavi, Jabalpur, and Gangtok, a Mementos hotel in Jaipur, and Storii hotels in Kolkata, Sirmour, and Prayagraj.
ITC's hotel business encompasses a range of brands catering to different market segments, including luxury, upper upscale, mid-market, and heritage leisure. The addition of Mementos and Storii reflects the group's commitment to evolving its portfolio to meet evolving consumer preferences and market trends.
