Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd. (TRIL) have secured WELL Core certifications from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) for two major buildings in its commercial portfolio. Participating in the WELL at scale initiative, TRIL has attained WELL designations across its entire portfolio, including WELL Pre-certification for seven buildings and WELL Health-Safety Rating for three buildings.
Leading the way in this achievement is the Ramanujan Intellion Park in Chennai, which has been awarded the highest Platinum level WELL Core Certification under IWBI's WELL v2 standard. Notably, these buildings stand as the first in India to attain this highest level of WELL Certification and rank among the top 100 projects globally with this distinction. WELL is the premier building standard that focuses on enhancing people's health and well-being through the built environments where we live, work, learn, and play. TRIL's achievements signify their dedication to occupant well-being and pave the way for future certifications across their entire park.
Ramanujan Intellion Park is a 4.7 million square-foot IT/ITeS campus in Chennai, with an integrated Taj Wellington Mews (112-key serviced apartments and a 1500-seater convention center). The campus also features a 4.6-acre green and pedestrian-friendly podium-style development, housing over 45,000 employees across 38 companies. Ramanujan Intellion Park is also the first campus in India to be an IFC EDGE zero-carbon campus.
TRIL's commitment to WELL extends beyond Ramanujan Intellion Park. As a global leader participating in WELL at scale, TRIL is applying health-focused strategies across its entire commercial portfolio. Both Intellion Parks in Mumbai and Gurugram have secured WELL Gold Precertification, demonstrating their consistent dedication to creating healthy and productive work environments. Additionally, to ensure occupant health and safety within workplaces, Intellion Edge in Gurugram and Intellion Square in Mumbai have successfully achieved the WELL Health & Safety Rating from IWBI, validating excellence in operational policies and procedures to advance occupant health and safety, and building long-term resilience.
WELL is a performance-based certification system created through seven years of rigorous research and development with leading physicians, scientists, and industry professionals. Ramanujan Intellion Park earned the Platinum level distinction based on ten categories of building performance, including air, water, light, nourishment, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind, and community.
TRIL goes beyond mandatory standards to achieve these impressive distinctions, implementing superior air quality measures, exceptional drinking water quality, mold prevention strategies, focus on health and wellness through educational programs, promotion of movement through aesthetically designed staircases, and optimized acoustics for a focused and productive work environment.
