Prestige and Marriott collaborate to construct six hotels in India

The collaboration between Bengaluru-based developer Prestige Estates Projects and global hotel company Marriott International represents a significant stride towards strengthening the hospitality sector in India. The agreement, inked for the development of six hotel projects, signals a substantial investment in the country's rising tourism industry.
These projects are slated to be completed over the course of the next two to five years, as confirmed by Zaid Sadiq, the executive director of hospitality at Prestige Estates. With a combined total of 801 keys spread across scenic locales in Goa and Karnataka, Marriott's foray into these regions with Prestige promises a diverse array of hospitality experiences.
Among the properties set to grace these regions are the 177-key Marriott Executive Apartments nestled in the heart of UB City, Bengaluru, the 130-key Moxy Bengaluru ORR strategically positioned along the Outer Ring Road, and the 152-key Bengaluru Marriott Hotel South situated in Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru.
Additionally, the portfolio includes the 62-key Tribute Portfolio Dabolim Hotel in the picturesque setting of Dabolim, Goa, the 120-key Autograph Collection in the serene enclave of Chopdem, Goa, and the 160-key JW Marriott Sakleshpur Plantation Resort set amidst the lush landscapes of Sakleshpur, Karnataka.
Sadiq estimates the total investment for these endeavours to hover around INR 1000 crore, underscoring the magnitude of this collaborative venture. Notably, Moxy, a brand designed to cater to millennial travellers seeking affordable luxury within the Marriott umbrella, made its debut earlier this year with the Moxy Bengaluru Airport Prestige Tech Cloud.
The Autograph Collection's debut in Goa marks a milestone, positioning it as the first of its kind in South Asia. Prestige Estates Projects currently boasts an impressive portfolio of 10 hospitality projects, encompassing a total of 1,489 keys. Meanwhile, Marriott International's ambitious plans for South Asia include the opening of 14 hotels this year, with 12 slated for India alone. This strategic expansion will augment Marriott's existing portfolio in the country, which presently comprises 148 hotels.
In conclusion, the collaboration between Prestige Estates Projects and Marriott International not only underscores the booming potential of the Indian hospitality sector but also heralds a new era of luxury and hospitality experiences for travellers across the region. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, this partnership is set to redefine hospitality standards and contribute significantly to the growth trajectory of the industry.
