Delhi Development Authority warns public of fraudulent websites

The Delhi Development Authority has issued a warning, alerting the public about fraudulent individuals who are using a fake URL related to their housing scheme to deceive people. The DDA has stated that it is taking this matter seriously and has filed complaints with the Economic Offences Wing and Cyber Crime cell of the Delhi Police.

The statement warns the public to be cautious of such individuals and schemes. The only authentic websites for applying to all DDA housing schemes online are www.dda.org.in and www.dda.gov.in. Other sources or websites may lead to financial loss caused by fraudulent and unscrupulous persons or entities.

The DDA become aware that certain fraudulent individuals are using a fake URL (https://DDAflat.org.in/index.php) under the name of DDA’s Housing Scheme to deceive people into booking flats. The statement advises the public to be cautious of such persons and scheme. It also requests people to regularly check DDA’s official websites for updates and transactions.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is a statutory body established in 1955 under the provisions of the Delhi Development Act to promote and secure the development of Delhi. Its primary mandate is to plan, develop, and manage the land resources of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

The DDA is responsible for developing housing projects, commercial centres, and other infrastructure facilities such as parks, playgrounds, and community centres. It is also responsible for acquiring land for development, regulating land use, and enforcing building regulations and zoning ordinances.

The DDA is governed by a board of directors consisting of a chairman and members appointed by the central government. The authority has several departments that carry out its various functions, including the planning department, engineering department, finance department, and legal department.

Over the years, the DDA has been involved in several large-scale development projects, including the construction of residential colonies, commercial centres, and sports complexes. Some of its notable projects include the development of the Nehru Place commercial complex, the Vasant Kunj residential complex, and the Commonwealth Games Village.

However, the DDA has also faced criticism for its management of land resources and development projects, particularly in regards to issues such as corruption, inefficiency, and inadequate provision of public facilities. The DDA is headquartered in Vikas Sadan, Delhi.Top of Form
