London debuts 'Investment Prospectus', unveiling GBP 9.6 billion in investment opportunities

The capital of the UK introduced its inaugural ‘Investment Prospectus,’ revealing GBP 9.6 billion worth of investment opportunities throughout the city. According to recent research, London maintains its status as the most robust global real estate market, surpassing New York and San Francisco. The ‘Investment Prospectus’ is curated by Opportunity London, a fresh public-private partnership established to attract capital investment to London.
Supported by the UK government and the Mayor of London, the newly formed public-private partnership (PPP) aims to stimulate business growth and facilitate international connections in areas such as low-carbon real estate, urban renewal, infrastructure, and energy.
Jace Tyrrell, CEO of Opportunity London, stated that even though London remains the premier destination for global investment, navigating its complexities can be challenging. Opportunity London aims to simplify that process.
‘Investment Prospectus’ for London has garnered support from all levels of government and the private sector, amounting to nearly GBP 10 billion in investable opportunities currently available. This collaborative effort marks a historic first, and the range of opportunities are set to expand as engagement progresses.
Tyrrell’s team intends to conduct roadshows globally throughout the year to attract investments, emphasizing London’s stable political, legal, financial, and regulatory landscapes conducive to capital investment.
In the future, markets like India could become targets for capital investment, but currently, they are more focused on foreign direct investment (FDI). India’s significance in global economic trends is increasing, driving investment activities in numerous businesses across the country.
According to data analysis from JLL, investments over the past five years up to February 2020 amounted to USD 96.2 billion, surpassing New York’s USD 94.3 billion and San Francisco’s USD 86.5 billion.

It unites various entities under one umbrella to maintain a competitive edge in attracting global capital
The initiative aims to guide London’s upcoming 30-year development phase, aligning major development areas with the revitalization and reimagining of the city’s current infrastructure. It also seeks to advance a substantial retrofitting program and promote a net-zero agenda.
