Haryana approves registry for regularised colony plots and homes

In a significant development following the approval of the regularisation of 21 illegal colonies in October 2023, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has initiated the online provision of No Objection Certificates (NOC) for the registration of plots or houses within these colonies.
The necessity of an NOC from DTCP for property registration cannot be overstated. Now, applicants can conveniently apply for the NOC through the department's online portal, marking a pivotal relief for numerous families residing within these colonies. DTCP has pledged to extend civic amenities like roads, water, and sewer lines to these areas, addressing long-standing infrastructural deficiencies.
The notification for regularising the 21 colonies, encompassing approximately 186 acres of prime land across various villages including Gurgaon, Manesar, Sohna, Pataudi, and Farrukhnagar, was issued by DTCP on October 4, 2023.
Explaining the procedure, Manish Yadav, District Town Planner (Enforcement), emphasised the necessity for plot owners/applicants to register on the portal. Subsequently, they are required to upload comprehensive documents and relevant information onto the portal.
The uploaded information includes basic applicant details, land specifics requiring NOC, plot details, buyer and seller particulars, and all pertinent land-related documents. Following verification, an NOC application number will be generated, streamlining the process.
Amit Khatri, Director of DTCP, directed the initiation of online NOC provision from headquarters to ensure seamless registry processes for the populace. He highlighted that applicants can submit online applications through the Town and Country Planning web portal and can also seek assistance from the District Town Planner's office for any queries.
This move follows DTCP's earlier efforts to regularise old unauthorised colonies beyond municipal limits through a comprehensive survey. With approximately 500 such colonies in and around the city, DTCP meticulously assessed various parameters including location, area, housing units, vacant plots, population, and development timelines to facilitate their regularisation.
