DDA to auction Phase III of its Diwali Special Housing Scheme in March

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has recently announced an auction for Phase III of its Diwali Special Housing Scheme, for March 5, following its official launch on February 19. This latest phase offers 257 flats categorised as penthouses, high-income, and middle-income group residences spanning across various sectors in Dwarka.
According to the DDA, the offerings in Phase III include two penthouses and 123 HIG flats located in Sector 19B, along with 132 MIG flats situated in Sector 14. These properties have been assigned tentative reserve prices, with penthouses set at INR 5 crore, HIG flats at INR 2.1 crore, and MIG flats at INR 1.44 crore, respectively. Interested individuals are required to register for the e-auction and submit their online earnest money deposits by February 28, ahead of the scheduled online auction on March 5.
Prospective buyers must fulfil specific deposit requirements, with INR 10 lakh for MIG flats, INR 15 lakh for HIG flats, and INR 25 lakh for penthouses. Additionally, participants are mandated to complete the registration process on the designated e-auction portal, where they are expected to pay a fee of INR 2,500 for each flat. Additionally, penthouse and super HIG buyers will receive two parking spaces, while HIG and MIG purchasers will be allotted one parking space each. Importantly, the registration fee is non-adjustable and non-refundable.
Earlier, on November 23, DDA initiated e-bookings for premium flats under the scheme, offering a total of 2,093 flats and penthouses across various sectors in Dwarka, including Sector 19B, Sector 14, and Loknayakpuram. This extensive range of options comprises 170 super HIG units, 946 HIG units, and 14 penthouses in Dwarka 19B, along with 316 MIG units in Sector 14 and 647 MIG units in Loknayak Puram.
Established under the Delhi Development Act, 1957, the DDA operates under the scope of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. Its primary mandate is to facilitate and manage the development of Delhi by overseeing housing projects, commercial lands, land management, and providing public amenities such as roads, bridges, drains, and community centres throughout the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
