Spouse of V Bazaar CMD acquires INR 95 crore apartment in The Camellias, Gurugram

Smiti Agarwal, a director at Wesbok Lifestyle Pvt Ltd and spouse of V Bazaar CMD Hemant Agarwal, has acquired a lavish apartment within The Camellias by DLF, nestled in Gurugram. Documents unveiled by CRE Matrix reveal the purchase amounting to Rs 95 crore.
Located in the prestigious DLF The Camellias on Golf Course Road, DLF Phase 5, Gurugram, the apartment has an expansive 10,813 sq. ft of living space, accompanied by the convenience of five parking spaces, as per the disclosed documents.
According to retrieved documents the sale deed was executed in the name of Smiti Agarwal on January 18, 2024. The paperwork revealed that she paid a stamp duty of INR 4.75 crore for the transaction, as well as registration fees of INR 50,003.
Interestingly, this acquisition demonstrates the demand for luxury homes in prime areas. The increase in per-square-foot pricing at The Camellias reflects a developing landscape in which luxury living passes ordinary accommodation and becomes a symbol of status and popularity.
The soaring property values at The Camellias mirror a broader trend observed across DLF's Golf Links projects, including The Aralias and The Magnolias, where prices have witnessed remarkable escalations over the past year.
With around 15% of property owners upgrading from nearby projects such as The Magnolias and The Aralias, The Camellias demonstrates its unmatched appeal to discerning buyers seeking a luxury lifestyle. Moreover, the pandemic-induced paradigm shift towards remote work has fuelled a rise in real estate sales. DLF experienced an increase in Camellias units sold, surpassing previous years' figures.
Aside from that, Delhi-NCR, which includes Gurugram, has seen several high-end property transactions, with this purchase being the most recent in the series. In October 2023, an 11,000 sq. ft flat at The Camellias by DLF on Gurgaon's Golf Course Road was resold for more than INR100 crore. In the same month, MakeMyTrip group CEO Rajesh Magow paid INR 33 crore for a 6,428 sq. ft unit at DLF Magnolias in Gurugram, while Genpact's top human resources officer Piyush Mehta paid INR 32.60 crore for a 6,462 sq. ft property in the same complex. In August 2023, comedian and actor Bhuvan Bam paid INR11 crore for a home in Greater Kailash-III, South Delhi.
As the real estate landscape continues to evolve, The Camellias stands as a beacon of luxury living, reshaping the contours of high-end residential developments in the heart of Gurugram's thriving metropolis.
