Residents of BPTP Spacio lodge a complaint against the developer for malfunctioning lifts

Earlier this week, the inhabitants of BPTP Spacio in Sector 37D, Gurugram, Haryana lodged a complaint with the police against the developer claiming the latter has not taken adequate measures to ensure the proper functioning of lifts in the high-rise building. The residents have expressed concern about the unsafe elevators and requested a definite solution to the issue. They reported that the automatic rescue devices in the lifts fail frequently, and that the lifts experience severe jolts during power surges or outages.

BPTP Spacio is a residential project developed by BPTP in Sector 37D, Gurugram, Haryana. It offers a range of 2BHK and 3BHK apartments. BPTP Spacio is spread over an area of approximately 11 acres and includes a total of 10 towers. The apartments in BPTP Spacio range in size from approximately 1,000 to 1,900 square feet and offer modern amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, gymnasium, and landscaped gardens.

According to some residents, despite making several complaints, they believe that nothing has been done to address their concerns. In an interview with ET Realty, one resident, Tarvinder Singh, expressed serious worry about the lifts in the society, which he believes pose a risk to the safety of women, senior citizens, and children. Singh claims that they have contacted the developer multiple times about the issue but have not seen any improvements. He believes that the malfunctioning lifts could lead to a potential disaster, as lifts are crucial for high-rise buildings.

According to the residents, the developer has not only failed to provide parking space to flat owners even after two years but has also not completed the project. Rohit Mohan, who is the senior vice president of BPTP Group, responded to ET Realty’s requests by stating that they have already addressed concerns about the lifts by clarifying that any jerks are within permissible limits. Mohan also stated that they have obtained all necessary safety and operations certificates in accordance with policy. He dismissed all other allegations made against them as unfounded.
