Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) accused of misappropriation of Public Funds

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is under investigation after allegedly transferring Rs 100 crore from a secret account to a group of builders based in Punjab. The account was initially created to hold unclaimed money from allottees, but it was then reportedly used to fund a private trust. The builders in question were allegedly involved in a land scam in Manesar, Haryana, and the funds were believed to have been transferred to them as part of a deal.

The HSIIDC is a government-owned corporation responsible for industrial development in the state and has been involved in several major projects in the past. The agency has stated that it is committed to rooting out corruption and ensuring that public funds are used for their intended purpose. It has also promised to take action against anyone found to be involved in the transfer.

The transfer was made in 2015, but it was only recently discovered during an audit of the HSIIDC's accounts. The agency has now launched an investigation into the matter and has suspended a number of officials who were involved in the transfer. The Chief controller of financer BB Gupta has confirmed that an official internal investigation has begun along with a police investigation to identify all HSVP personnels involved in the scam.
