The state government of Gujarat marked a significant step towards economic development by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) valued at Rs 24,707 crore with various companies in preparation for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS). The 30 MoUs span diverse sectors such as mineral-based projects, manufacturing, chemicals and petrochemicals, green energy, textiles and apparel, industrial parks, engineering, animal healthcare, ethanol manufacturing, and the automobile industry. These agreements are expected to generate over 38,000 employment opportunities, contributing to the state's overall economic growth.
A key participant in this development is the Central PSU - Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO). HUDCO entered into a pact with the Gujarat government to invest up to Rs 14,500 crore for financing of housing and urban infrastructure projects. This strategic partnership aligns with the state government's vision for comprehensive development in Gujarat, encompassing various housing and infrastructure initiatives.

The MoUs signed in the run-up to the VGGS cover a broad spectrum of sectors, reflecting the state's diversified approach to economic growth.
