Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has recently sold two penthouses measuring 2,292 square feet (sq ft) for Rs 6 crore in Oshiwara area of Mumbai, according to documents accessed by Zapkey.com The apartments are situated on the 9th floor of Karan Apartment Tower in Lokhandwala, Andheri. The smaller penthouse spans 860 sq ft and was sold for Rs 2.25 crore, while the larger penthouse measuring 1,432 sq ft was sold for Rs 3.75 crore. The homebuyer is 45-year-old Abhishek Choubey, a Bollywood director, producer, and screenwriter. Abhishek is known for directing films such as Udta Punjab, Ishqiya, Desh Ishqiya, Sonchiriya and more. The two penthouses were registered on October 23 and 25, respectively and a stamp duty of around Rs 36 lakh was paid by the buyer for both transactions. The transactions were done by Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, on behalf of the actor. Priyanka has been making headlines for her real estate deals in Mumbai. In June 2021, the actress had leased a second-floor office property located in the Oshiwara area of Andheri West for Rs 2.11 lakh a month spread across an area of 2,040 sq ft. Priyanka had also sold two residential units located in Raj Classic, Versova, Andheri West for Rs 7 crore in March 2021. Last week, Bollywood actor Ranvir Singh was in the news for selling two flats in Oberoi Exquisite, in the Goregaon area of Mumbai for Rs 15.25 crore. Ranvir had purchased the two flats in December 2014 for Rs 4.64 crore each. Over the past few months, many Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn. Kartik Aryan and Sara Ali Khan have bought commercial space in the Oshiwara region. Ajay Devgn bought five office units in the project for Rs 45.09 crore and later in July this year, Kajol purchased an office space spread over nearly 2,100 sq ft for Rs 7.64 crore. Also, in the recent past, Akshay Kumar was in the news for selling their real estate properties. In 2022, Kumar sold a property at Malik, Andheri West, with a carpet area of 1,281 sq ft for Rs 6 crore to music director Daboo Malik.
