Jaga Mission advances to phase 2 by providing Land Rights Certificates (LRCs)

The Jaga Mission, a transformative initiative launched in 2018, is set to make a significant impact on the lives of slum residents in the city. In its second phase, the mission aims to provide land rights certificates (LRCs) to eligible slum dwellers, marking a crucial step in the government's flagship program.
In the initial phase, the mission achieved a remarkable milestone by granting LRCs to 51,000 slum residents, offering them a sense of security and ownership over their homes. The journey doesn't end here; a total of 75,000 individuals have been identified as recipients of these certificates. BMC commissioner Vijay Kulange's statement is a testament to the meticulous planning and execution of the mission. Arrangements have been made to distribute approximately 5,500 LRCs on a single day, ensuring that the benefits reach those in need efficiently.
