Bollywood actress Preity Zinta buys a luxurious apartment for Rs 17 crore in Pali Hill

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has bought an apartment in Mumbai's Bandra for Rs 17 crore, according to documents accessed by realty platform IndexTap.com. The apartment is on the 11th floor in a super-premium residential tower Rustomjee Parishram in Mumbai’s plush Pali Hill area in Bandra suburb.
The apartment has a carpet area of 1,474 sq ft, and comes with two reserve parking spots. The deal also involves exclusive access to an additional area of 90 sq.ft. The seller is Keystone Realtors Limited, a listed entity of the Rustomjee Group. Zinta paid a stamp duty of Rs 85.07 lakh for the apartment and the document was registered on October 23.
The project is part of redevelopment of a housing society and is currently under construction. The 22-storey tower built on a plot of nearly half an acre will have 17 habitable floors. As per reports, this is the same building where Preity Zinta used to reside before her marriage in 2016. After her marriage with Gene Goodenough, the actor moved to Los Angeles.
The Mumbai real estate market, especially Bandra, is abuzz with high-level purchases from female Bollywood celebrities. In April this year, actor Alia Bhatt bought a Rs 37.8 crore apartment in Pali Hill. Actor Sonakshi Sinha also bought an apartment in a premium residential tower in Bandra for Rs 11 crore. Bollywood's power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone also made a luxury real estate purchase in 2022 in the Bandra area for about Rs 200 crore.
Bollywood actresses have also ventured into the commercial real estate arena. In July, actor Kajol bought an office area totalling approximately 2,100 square feet in a tower in Oshiwara, with the acquisition costing ?7.64 crore. Sara Ali Khan and Amrita Singh have acquired an office space of similar size, paying a combined amount of ?9 crore.
Real estate experts believe as property prices have increased significantly in the recent past in Mumbai, several high-net-worth individuals are not just buying property for residential purposes, but also for their high return value and investment opportunities.
