Lemon Tree Hotels unveils India's largest hotel, the Aurika Mumbai Skycity with 669 rooms

Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has unveiled the Aurika Mumbai Skycity, a colossal 669-room property, now crowned as India's largest hotel in terms of room count. This landmark addition, under the Aurika Hotels & Resorts brand, marks Lemon Tree's third establishment in Mumbai and aligns with their strategic vision. Patanjali G. Keswani, Chairman & Managing Director of Lemon Tree Hotels, expressed optimism about addressing the escalating demands of both business and leisure travellers through this expansion. Moreover, Keswani highlighted the pivotal role of the Aurika Mumbai Skycity launch in advancing Lemon Tree's ambitious goal of achieving a total inventory surpassing 20,000 rooms, encompassing both operational and upcoming projects, within the next four years.
The Aurika Mumbai Skycity is poised to become a significant player in Mumbai's hospitality landscape. Strategically positioned in close proximity to Mumbai airport's terminal 2, the Aurika Mumbai Skycity aims to cater to the diverse needs of travelers, leveraging its expansive room capacity and prime location. The decision to establish their third hotel in Mumbai underscores the brand's commitment to this key metropolitan hub and its significance in Lemon Tree's expansion strategy.
Patanjali G. Keswani elucidated the broader expansion plan. Beyond Mumbai, Lemon Tree Hotels aims for widespread growth, intending to diversify its presence with an additional 1300 rooms strategically distributed across 15 cities.
This expansion blueprint is accompanied by a substantial hiring initiative, with plans to recruit 3000 new personnel. Notably, Keswani clarified that approximately half of these hires would contribute to the expansion efforts, while the other half would be replacements for individuals departing the hotel workforce. By expanding their workforce, the hotel chain aims not only to accommodate its growing infrastructure but also to enhance guest experiences across its properties. The deliberate balance between additions and replacements in the hiring strategy demonstrates a thoughtful approach to maintaining operational excellence while pursuing expansion goals.
In essence, the inauguration of the Aurika Mumbai Skycity symbolizes a significant milestone for Lemon Tree Hotels, both in terms of scale and strategic positioning. As the brand advances toward its target of 20,000+ rooms, this grand hotel inauguration is a testament to Lemon Tree's unwavering commitment to providing unparalleled hospitality experiences and solidifying its position as a key player in India's vibrant hospitality sector.
