Expanding Luxury: The Postcard Hotel and ITC’s Storii bring new waves into Indian hospitality

The Postcard Hotel, a luxury hospitality brand, is set to unveil India's most expensive hotel in the coming year. It is located within nature’s abode of Ranthambore, Rajasthan. The Postcard Hotel promises a luxurious experience with picturesque views of Ranthambore’s wildlife, a real treat for nature-lovers. The hotel has been designed by architect Luca Franco of Luxury Frontiers consisting of tastefully furnished 14 rooms, boasting extravagant features like an immense 1,950 sq. ft area, with every room having their very own heated private pool.
Receiving the felicitous title as the “most expensive” hotel in India, The Postcard is prepared to offer rooms starting at a substantial rate of Rs. 1.95 Lakh per night, plus taxes. Aside from Ranthambore, the chain also intends to launch seven more luxury hotels in multiple locations next year including Tirupati, Goa, Mashobra, Kanha Tiger Reserve, and one in the Himalayas.
The chain’s founder and CEO, Kapil Chopra, envisions a profitable future with the intent of amassing 1 Billion USD worth of assets in the coming three years in an attempt to redefine luxury in the Indian hospitality industry. With burgeoning demand for high-quality stays, he aspires to launch a new Postcard Hotel in every quarter for the next seven years. The chain is also prepared to launch Assam’s first ever luxury hotel later this year.
Notably, ITC hotels are also making headlines with the expansion of their “Storii” brand in West Bengal. This expansion records its entrance into Kolkata, with plans to have its doors open by early 2024.
The Storii brand has a collection of three unique boutique hotels in India with each having a unique ‘story’ owing to their architecture, location, heritage, theme or special offerings. These include, Storii Shanti Morada and Storii Moira Riviera in Goa and Storii Amoha Retreat in Dharamshala. As a fourth addition to their collection, the ITC Hotel Group announced the signing of a management contract with South City Projects to operate a wellness retreat-esque hotel on Basanti Highway. The ITC Hotel Group will have a total of nine properties in West Bengal, with Kolkata being their latest.
