The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has taken strict action against multiple real estate firms in the region for installing advertisement hoardings in public places without the necessary licenses. GLADA's Chief Administrator, Sagar Setia, highlighted that these promoters are legally obligated to secure a license from the authority after registering under the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
The move comes as a significant step towards maintaining order in the city's burgeoning real estate sector, where unregulated advertisements have become a common eyesore. GLADA aims to ensure that all developers adhere to the established guidelines to create a fair and transparent real estate market for residents.
Chief Administrator Sagar Setia emphasized that GLADA has issued formal notices to these promoters, instructing them to promptly remove their unauthorized advertisement hoardings. In the event that these advertisements remain in place, GLADA is prepared to initiate legal action under the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act (PAPRA) and the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, commonly known as RERA.
These notices serve as a clear warning to real estate firms operating in the Ludhiana region that the authority will not tolerate any violations of the established regulations. The implementation of PAPRA and RERA allows for the swift resolution of such issues, ensuring that unauthorized hoardings are swiftly removed and that developers operate within the bounds of the law.
