Greater Noida Authority orders closure of 100 Supertech Ecovillage 1 shops

The Greater Noida Authority (GNIDA) has intensified its crackdown on Supertech, a prominent real estate developer, following multiple complaints from residents of Ecovillage 1. The grievances surround approximately 100 shops operating within the society's premises without proper occupation or completion certificates. This marks the third notice issued by GNIDA's planning department in the last month, signalling the growing tensions between the developer and the local authorities.
The latest notice, issued by GNIDA, underscores the violation of regulations by Supertech in allowing the unauthorized shops to function. It requires the builder to remove these establishments within a strict timeframe of 15 days. According to residents, there are shops on all floors. Two notices have been issued to the developer for illegally opening a gate for the market complex and encroaching on a green belt.
In the initial notice, GNIDA had directed Supertech to eliminate an unauthorized gate constructed in front of the commercial market area within a mere 10 days. With the builder failing to comply with this directive, GNIDA issued a subsequent notice approximately a week ago, extending the deadline to 15 days for the removal of the illegal construction.
The notice issued by GNIDA warns Supertech that the possession of these shops was granted without obtaining the necessary completion certificates for the work, a clear violation of regulations. The builder has been instructed to promptly remove the unauthorized construction and respond to the authority within 15 days. Failure to provide an explanation would result in legal action being taken against Supertech in accordance with GNIDA rules.
In response to the notices, a spokesperson from Supertech claimed that they had not yet received any communication from GNIDA. As the tension escalates between the developer and the local authorities, residents of Ecovillage 1 continue to seek resolution and accountability for the alleged violations by Supertech.
