A two-judge bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Dipankar Datta made this assertion, pointing to the troubling prevalence of corruption within the Noida Authority. What compounded their concern was the fact that the Authority itself had admitted to these irregularities in an affidavit. However, the Court expressed dissatisfaction with the current investigative efforts, deeming them inadequate to unearth the full extent of the alleged misconduct.

Rather, it was part of a broader pattern where the New Okla Industrial Development Authority had disbursed compensation to landowners without any legal entitlement. These disbursements appeared to have been made for extraneous and questionable reasons.
The Supreme Court's decision to seek a response from the Uttar Pradesh government highlights the gravity of the situation. The Court has scheduled the next hearing for October 5, during which it expects a detailed response regarding the government's stance on these allegations. The current developments stem from a bail application submitted by one of the accused individuals in this case.
