EPACK Prefab successfully completes INR 700 crore warehouse projects

In a remarkable achievement, Epack Prefab, India's foremost pre-engineering structure manufacturer, proudly announced today the successful completion of an astounding 10 million square feet of industrial and warehouse buildings. This milestone represents a significant juncture in EPACK's journey, tracing its origins to the initial warehouse construction order secured in 2019. Valued at INR 700 crores, these orders underscore the burgeoning potential of India's industrial warehouse sector and showcase the company's prowess in delivering projects with precision and punctuality.

Sanjay Singhania, Managing Director of Epack Prefab, attributed the company's extraordinary growth to multiple factors, stating that the 'Make in India' campaign, coupled with Production Linked Incentive (PLI) programs, has invigorated domestic manufacturing. Consequently, he believes there is a heightened demand for storage solutions, particularly in the retail and e-commerce sectors, notably in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. This surge in growth has necessitated specialized industrial warehouses, prompting companies to swiftly adopt prefabricated structures.

The majority of this warehouse construction boom is centred in Southern India, with high demand observed in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, driven by cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai.

Epack Prefab has successfully delivered projects for prominent companies, including Coca-Cola, JK Tyre, GAIL, Dalmia Cement, Century Panel, and more. The consistent growth of the e-commerce and retail industry, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, has fueled the adoption of pre-engineered structures due to their streamlined construction process, which saves up to 50% of the time compared to traditional methods.

Epack has recorded an impressive 100% growth in its order book between FY 2021-22 and FY 2022-23. Looking forward, the company anticipates closing its order book at an even more substantial INR 1400 crores for FY 23-24, with an expected 43% order increase from the industrial and warehousing sector in the next 12 months.

To meet the surging demand, especially from southern states, the company is strategically expanding its production facility in Andhra Pradesh to cater to the accelerating requirements.

Currently, Epack Prefab operates from two manufacturing facilities in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, boasting a total annual production capacity of 100,000 metric tonnes of pre-engineered building material. The addition of the new plant will approximately double this capacity to an impressive 1.87 lakh metric tonnes.
