UAE based Aldar Properties has recently announced its ambitious plans to redevelop two key retail assets, the Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain and the Al Hamra Mall in Ras Al Khaimah. The comprehensive redevelopment projects are estimated to cost AED 1 billion and aim to meet the evolving needs of customers while transforming these malls into vibrant retail destinations with global trends.
The Al Jimi Mall, a favourite among Al Ain residents and visitors, will see a 20% increase in usable area, reaching 91,000 sq m. The redevelopment will introduce new international brands and popular food concepts, enhancing the overall customer journey. Similarly, the Al Hamra Mall will undergo refurbishment and expansion, offering sought-after brands and an expanded food and beverage selection.
Aldar Properties has a proven track record in mall redevelopment, as demonstrated by the successful transformation of Yas Mall. The redevelopment of Al Jimi and Al Hamra Mall will further showcase Aldar's commitment to creating world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations across the UAE.
Both malls will undergo significant facelifts, including upgraded facades, valet parking, and digital solutions to ensure customers' safety and convenience. The projects will be completed in phases, with Al Hamra Mall set to finish by 2024, and Al Jimi Mall's redevelopment expected to be completed by 2025.
