Since the commencement of the current fiscal year, over 10 lakh property tax bills have been effortlessly dispatched through this innovative platform, streamlining the entire process and enhancing convenience for residents.
Gone are the days of time-consuming visits to ward offices and physical bill collection. With the bills now reaching citizens directly on their phones, the entire experience has been elevated to a new level of simplicity and ease. Residents, applaud this initiative, acknowledging the tremendous convenience it offers. The WhatsApp chatbot service goes beyond bill delivery, providing citizens with round-the-clock access to crucial information about property tax, outstanding dues, payment receipts, and necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs). By simply sending a WhatsApp message to 8888251001, citizens can effortlessly retrieve the information they need, empowering them with self-service capabilities.

With a target of Rs 2318.15 crore for property tax collection in the fiscal year 2023-24, the PMC is poised to exceed expectations. Additionally, an anticipated Rs 300 crore from water tax, a component of property tax, further bolsters the expected total revenue to Rs 2,618.15 crore.
