Haryana's Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, recently announced his administration's plan to provide approximately 100,000 houses to deserving families in the state. The pledge was made following a series of pivotal discussions with Union Urban and Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Their meeting, held at Nirman Bhawan in New Delhi, addressed multiple significant issues pertinent to Haryana's urban development. CM Khattar was pleased to report that the state has achieved several goals outlined in the housing projects.
In other notable progress, the Union Cabinet's approval for the Gurugram Metro project was gratefully received by the Chief Minister, who expressed his hope for swift initiation of the project's work.
Khattar and Puri also discussed plans for the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) projects extending from Sarai Kale Khan to Panipat and Shahzadpur. The Chief Minister outlined complications encountered with the Delhi government over these projects. In response, the Supreme Court has admonished the Delhi government, with a further hearing scheduled for July 24th.
The Chief Minister proposed an alternative if Delhi's cooperation remains elusive: initiating the Sarai Kale Khan-Shahzadpur line from Aero City within Haryana. Furthermore, a discussion occurred about the Rs. 3000 crore owed by Delhi for the Panipat line.
Meanwhile, Haryana's innovative approaches to agricultural policies are garnering national attention. Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, lauded the digitization initiatives implemented by Haryana's government to benefit farmers. During a meeting at Tomar's residence in New Delhi, he commended Khattar's efforts as exemplary, advising other states to follow suit.
CM Khattar further conveyed the commitment of his government to ensuring the benefits of Central Government initiatives toward agriculture and farmers welfare reach the farmers of the state.
