UAE allocates Dh3.1 billion in housing benefits for Abu Dhabi citizens

In accordance with the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has given his approval for the allocation of housing benefits amounting to Dh3.1 billion to 1,807 citizens residing in Abu Dhabi.

The housing benefits comprise of Dh1 billion in grants for readily available housing options for individuals with low income, and Dh2.1 billion in the form of various housing loans for eligible citizens. The distribution of the second housing package is scheduled to occur during the upcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations.

This decision showcases the commitment of wise leadership towards improving living standards and ensuring a respectable life for citizens. Moreover, it contributes to fostering social cohesion and promoting stability, thereby ensuring the seamless progress of the comprehensive development journey in Abu Dhabi. With the introduction of the second housing package in 2023, the total value of housing benefits allocated to Abu Dhabi citizens exceeds Dh6 billion, reaching a total of 3,607 individuals across various regions of the emirate.

In response to this initiative, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, the Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the Chairman of the board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, for his consistent support to the housing sector and his unwavering dedication to fulfilling the requirements of every citizen demonstrates his resolute commitment. 

The endeavors of His Highness contribute significantly to the advancement of societal well-being and the augmentation of living conditions. According to Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, the Director General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, the decision to allocate the second housing package in 2023 is a clear testament to the continuous dedication of the wise leadership in ensuring dignified living standards and improving the overall welfare of the entire community within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Notably, the recent inauguration of the Falah and Sweihan residential projects has provided around 1,000 new residences of exceptional quality for the benefit of citizens.
