In an effort to address the grievances of beneficiaries facing difficulties in obtaining registration documents and allotment orders for housing units, a petition box has been set up at the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) office. The initiative aims to provide a platform for individuals in five districts, including Trichy, to submit their complaints and seek resolutions.
Located near the KK Nagar police station in Trichy, the petition box will be available for a duration of one month. During this period, individuals can drop their grievances, which will then be forwarded to a special cell in Chennai dedicated to finding timely solutions. The officials at TNHB expressed their understanding that some beneficiaries may currently reside in TNHB-developed dwelling units, possessing only the allotment order.
However, it is important to note that the sale deed document is also required for legal ownership. To address this issue, beneficiaries in need of crucial documents are encouraged to utilize the petition box as a means of expediting the resolution process. A committee appointed by the state government in Chennai will carefully review the submitted petitions and determine whether feasible solutions can be provided. The petition box at the TNHB office will remain accessible until June 30, ensuring ample time for individuals to voice their concerns.
The opportunity to benefit from this initiative extends to residents of Ariyalur, Perambalur, Pudukottai, Karur, and Trichy. Not only can grievances regarding existing housing units be submitted, but individuals can also raise concerns about allotments in upcoming projects. In fact, similar petition boxes have been set up at 16 different locations across the state, emphasizing the government's commitment to addressing the housing-related issues faced by citizens.
By providing a dedicated avenue for individuals to voice their concerns and seek resolutions, the TNHB aims to streamline the process of acquiring necessary documents and ensuring the rightful ownership of housing units. This proactive step demonstrates the government's commitment to addressing the needs and grievances of its citizens, particularly in the realm of housing. It is hoped that this initiative will contribute to a more efficient and transparent system, where individuals can secure their housing rights without unnecessary obstacles or delays.
Overall, the establishment of the petition box in the TNHB office serves as a tangible solution to the challenges faced by beneficiaries. By facilitating communication between citizens and the government, this initiative paves the way for a more responsive and accountable administration. With multiple petition boxes spread across various locations, the government aims to ensure that individuals from different districts have equitable access to this grievance redressal mechanism. Through such proactive measures, the Tamil Nadu government continues to prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of its citizens, fostering an environment of trust and progress.
