DMRC receives land clearance for Keshopur Station in phase 4 metro project

According to officials, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has given his approval for the transfer of land to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the purpose of building a station at Keshopur as part of the Ph-IV project. The station will be located on the metro corridor currently under construction between Janakpuri and RK Ashram Marg. The land transfer will involve transferring the land from the city's Irrigation and Flood Control Department (I&FC) to the DMRC, as confirmed by officials from the LG Office.

According to a senior official, the DMRC had been awaiting the transfer of land from the Delhi government since April 2019. This information was also confirmed by sources within the DMRC. The upcoming Keshopur station on this corridor will be built as an elevated structure.

Currently, the DMRC is engaged in construction activities for a total of 65.1 km of priority corridors as part of Phase-IV. These corridors include the stretch from Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg (28.92 km), which is an extension of the operational Magenta Line, the stretch from Majlis Park to Maujpur (12.55 km), an extension of the Pink Line, and the stretch from Kabad to Aerocity (23.62 km), which is being developed as the 'Silver Line'. This will establish a connection between the Violet Line and the Airport Line.

The Phase 4 project of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) refers to the expansion plans for the metro network in Delhi, India. It involves the construction of new metro lines and extensions to existing lines to further enhance connectivity across the city. The Phase 4 project includes the development of several priority corridors, such as the extension of the Magenta Line, Pink Line, and the construction of the Silver Line, among others. These new lines and extensions aim to cater to the growing transportation needs of Delhi's residents and provide improved accessibility to different parts of the city.
