HUDA conducts electronic auction for group housing society sites in Haryana

Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) recently conducted an electronic auction of nine sites designated for group housing societies on May 28th. These sites are located in various sectors across different cities within Haryana.

Among the sites up for auction, three are situated in Sector 20, while Sector 31 and Mansa Devi Complex (MDC) in Sector 6 each have one site available. The Sector 31 site spans an area of 0.94 acre, while the MDC site covers 2,023 square meters. In Sector 20, the plots available for auction are measured at 2,000 square meters, 3,680 square meters, and 11,463 square meters respectively.

Moving on to Pinjore, four sites are slated for auction, including a plot in Sector 2 spanning 6.07 acres, and three plots in Sector 5. The plots in Sector 5 vary in size, with measurements of 0.42-acre, 0.92 acre, and 0.63 acre.

Interested individuals looking to participate in the bidding process were advised to register themselves on the HUDA website. This e-auction marks the first time since 2021 that HUDA has decided to auction plots specifically for group housing societies. The auction covers a wide range of cities, with 18 sites in Gurugram, 12 in Sonepat, four in Faridabad, and one in Rewari.

This move by HUDA aims to provide an opportunity for developers and investors to acquire land for the development of group housing societies. Group housing societies are residential complexes that offer various amenities and facilities to residents, fostering a sense of community and providing a high standard of living.

The auction process allows interested parties to bid on the available sites, and the highest bidder will secure the rights to develop the land. This presents a lucrative opportunity for developers and investors to capitalize on the growing demand for housing in Haryana.

Furthermore, the decision to conduct an electronic auction aligns with the advancement of technology and the increasing reliance on digital platforms for conducting business. It offers convenience and accessibility to potential bidders, as they can participate in the auction from anywhere, provided they have access to the internet.

HUDA's efforts to auction plots for group housing societies across multiple cities demonstrate their commitment to promoting urban development and addressing the housing needs of the growing population in Haryana. These auctions serve as an important mechanism to efficiently allocate land resources and encourage the construction of quality housing projects.

By providing opportunities for developers and investors to acquire land through a transparent and competitive bidding process, HUDA strives to facilitate the creation of modern, sustainable, and inclusive communities that contribute to the overall development of the region.
