Krisumi Corporation invests Rs 300 crore in Gurugram project

Krisumi Corporation, a joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation from Japan and Krishna Group from India, has revealed its plans to allocate Rs 300 crore to build approximately 400,000 sq. ft. in the second stage of the 30-38-acre residential development, known as "Krisumi City", situated at Sector 36A in Gurugram. This information was provided by a high-ranking executive.

Both investors have contributed the initial fund, and the company has set a goal of achieving a revenue of Rs 500 crore. The organization has established an objective of generating a revenue of Rs 1,200 crore by the end of the financial year 2023–24. The plan is for the company to begin delivering phase 1 occupancy by January 2024, and they are also actively strategizing for the implementation of additional stages.

The second phase of the company's luxury suite project witnessed swift sales, as all 322 apartments were sold off in a mere three-day span. The initial stage, covering an area of 5 acres, commenced in 2021.

Ashok Kapur, the Chairman of Krishna Group, announced that they have plans to commence Phase 3 and several other ventures in the coming days. The cost of the residential units named “Waterfall Suites” ranges from Rs 1.47 crore to Rs 1.92 crore. The cost per square foot is estimated to be around Rs 16,000 per square foot.

According to Krisumi Corporation's Director of Sales and Marketing, Vineet Nanda, there has been a significant increase in the desire for smaller, luxurious housing units. The company is setting up a hospitality arm to oversee the maintenance of the residential apartments. 

An exclusive clubhouse will be constructed for each phase of the development. Furthermore, its plans include the launch of a hospitality branch, which will oversee the management of the residential apartments.

Sumitomo has completed more than 300 projects in countries such as Japan, the USA, China, and Indonesia, but they have yet to make a significant investment in India.
