If adult child living with a parent has some form of tenant rights and the parent sells the homestead property without informing me of a deadline to move and she fails to disclose to the buyer that I am a resident, can a cop arrest me for burglary?

Technically and legally the owner of a property has the right to dispose of the property following the due process of law. If the adult child living in the property doesn’t not have any rights in the property, then they cannot really put an objection to the sale / disposal of the same. If he / she continues to live in the house post the sale during handing over possession, then it would it be construed to be trespassing and legal action can be taken for the eviction. However, if the child does have right because the person was paying rental to the owner for staying in the house then that right needs to be extinguished first before the sale of the house is done.
